The initial situation: at a kid’s dentist appointment, carious cavities of the two left lower molars are found, photo 1.
Assessment of the situation: to determine the depth of carious cavities, an objective radiovisiography was taken, and it showed that the cavity was deep, photo 2.
Treatment performed:
1) Given the depth of the carious lesion, a local anesthetic was done (to make the treatment painless and most comfortable for the child).
2) rubber dam was put on (which makes the work more safe for the child, and the result of treatment is more predictable and durable).
3) carious cavities were prepared (carious lesions were completely removed), photo 3.
4) the tooth is fully reconstituted (restored) by a durable and strong photopolymer material, photo 4.
Result: total duration of the treatment was 45 minutes, acting as assistant – a favorite cartoon “Fireman Sam”, chosen gift – a small helicopter, photo 5.
